Dr. Baumsteiger grew up in the Bay Area, California. She attended the University of Hawai’i at Hilo and studied marine science and animal science, then received her DVM from The Ohio State University. She worked as a general practitioner in San Anselmo, California for three years, then in Salt Lake City, Utah for the last 2 years. 

Dr. Baumsteiger’s special interests include cytology, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and preventative medicine.  

When not working, she loves being outdoors with her dogs Pepperoni and Daisy, playing ultimate frisbee, dancing, biking, swimming, and avidly following the Buckeyes.
